٥٨٩٠ - ز - عَوانة بن الحكم بن عَوانة بن عِياض (¬١)، الأخباريُّ المشهور الكوفي. يقال: كان أبوه عبدًا خياطًا، وأمُّه أَمَة، وهو كثير الرواية عن التابعين، قَلَّ أن رَوَى حديثًا مسندًا، وأكثَرَ المدائني عنه. وقد روى عن عبد اللّه بن المعتز، عن الحسن بن عُلَيل العَنزي - عن عوانة بن الحكم - أنه كان عثمانيًا، فكان يضع الأخبار لبني أمية. مات سنة ١٥٨ (¬٢).
