٥٥٧٨ - عُمر بن أُبَيّ الحَجَبيُّ مولاهم، البصري. متَّهم. قال العقيلي: حدثنا إبراهيم بن محمد، حدثنا عمر بن أُبَيّ، حدثنا ابن جريج، عن عطاء، عن ابن عباس ﵄ مرفوعًا: "أُعطِيت في عليّ تسعَ خِصال … " الحديث. كذا اختصره العقيلي فأحسن، انتهى. وقد أجحف في اختصارِ كلام العقيلي، فإنه قال في أول الترجمة: يُحدِّثعن ابن جريج ببواطيل، ثم ساق الحديث، ثم قال: وبسنده: "الحُمَّى من فَيْح جهنم". قال: وهما جميعًا غير محفوظَين عن ابن جريج، ولا يعرفان إلَّا به، وله أحاديث لا يقيم منها شيئًا. فأما المتن الأول، فلا يروى من جهة تثبت، وأما الآخر، فروي بغير هذا الإِسناد.
