٤٥٤٠ - ز- عبد البرِّ بنُ الحافظ أبي العلاء الهَمَذاني، سمع أباه،وعلي بن محمد المُشْكاني راوي "تاريخ البخاري الصغير" سمعه منه، وأبا الوقت، والبَاغْبَان، وغيرهم. روى عنه الحافظ الضياء والصَّدْر البكري والرَّحَّالة. وروى عنه بالإِجازة الفخر ابن البخاري، وأحمد بن عساكر، وغيرهما. قال ابن نُقْطة: تغير بعد سنة عشر وست مئة، ذكر لي ذلك إسحاق بن محمد بن المؤيِّد، وبلغني أنه ثاب إليه عقلُه قبل موته بقليل، وأنه توفي سنة ٦٢٣.
