٤٤٢٤ - ز- عبد الله بن محمد الكِناني، أبو الوليد الأصْبَهَاني، روى عن أبي معاوية، وأبي عاصم، وعبد الله بن إدريس، وأبي داود الطيالسي، والفِريابي، وغيرهم. روى عنه علي بن الحسن بن مسعود الزراد العسكري، وغيره. قال أبو نعيم في "تاريخه": كان كثير الحديث، مشهورًا بالطلب والكتابة، ثم أفصح بموافقة الرَّوافض، وأنكر خلافة أبي بكر الصديق. فجمع عبد العزيز بن دُلَف والي البلد، مشايخَ البلد: أبا مسعود الرازي، ومحمد بن بكار، ومحمد بن الفرج، وغيرهم، فناظروه على ما خالفهم فيه، فأبى إلَّا الثبوتَ على مقالته، فضربه أربعين سوطًا، وباينه الناسُ وهَجَروه، وذهب حديثُه. وصنَّف أبو مسعود كتابًا في الردّ عليه.
