٤٣٦٣ - ز- عبد الله بن فارس بن محمد بن علي، أبو ظُهَيْر، شيخ من أهل بَلْخ. توفي سنة ٣٤٦. ادعى السماع من أبي عبد الله محمد بن إسماعيل البخاري، وقد ورد نيسابور، فحدَّث بها عن عبد الصمد بن الفضل، ومعمر بن محمد البلخيَّين وأقرانهما، وأجاز للحاكم. قلت: ما أعتقد صحةَ قوله في السماع من البخاري، فإن كان صادقًا، فهو خاتمةُ أصحابه في الدنيا، وما كنت أعتقد أن أحدًا بقي بعد المَحَاملي ممن يَرْوي عنه، فالله أعلم.
