    ٤١١٤ - العباس بن عُتبة، عن عطاء، لا يصح حديثه. وعنه إسماعيل بن عياش. عاصم بن علي: حدثنا إسماعيل بن عياش، عن العباس بن عتبة، عن عطاء، عن ابن عمر ﵄ مرفوعًا: "ليس من عَبْدٍ يَبِيتُ طاهرًا، إلَّا بات معه مَلَك في شِعَاره، لا يتقلَّب ساعةً من الليل إلَّا قال: اللهم اغفر لعبدك، فإنه بات طاهرًا"، انتهى. ذكره العقيلي بهذا، وأخرج حديثه عن علي بن عبد العزيز، عن عاصم بن علي به. وقد ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" لكنه سماه عَيَّاشًا، بالياء المثناة من تحت، وبالشين المعجمة.
