    ٣٣٨٧ - سعد بن عمران، شيخٌ مُقِلّ. قال أبو حاتم: هو مثلُ الواقدي (¬٢). قلت: والواقدي تركوه، انتهى. قال ابن أبي حاتم: سعد بن عمران بن هِند بن سَهْل بن حُنَيف الأنصاري، روى عن أبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن بن عثمان بن سهل بن حُنيف، وعنه عبد اللّه بن محمد بن داود بن أبي أُمامة بن سَهْل بن حُنيف. سألتُ أبي عنه فقال: هو شيخٌ مثلُ الواقدي، في لِيْنِ الحديث، وكثرةِ عجائبه. قلت: فإذا كان أبو حاتم يقول: إنه مثل الواقدي في كثرةِ العجائب، فكيف يقول الذهبي: هو شيخٌ مُقِلّ؟!
