٢٠١٣ - ز - حاتم بن عثمان المَعَافِري، أبو عثمان الإِفريقي، سمع من عبد الرحمن بن زياد بن أنعُم، ومالك بن أنس. قال أبو العَرَب الصِّقِلِّي: كان يُغرب عن مالكٍ بأحاديثَ لا يرويها غيره. قلت: فمن الأباطيل التي زعم أن مالكًا حدَّثه بها، عن ابن شهاب، عن أبي سلمة، عن أبي هريرة قال: "بابٌ من العلم نتعلَّمه أحبُّ إلينا من ألف ركعة". وسمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: "إذا جاء الموتُ طالبَ العلم ومات على حاله: فهو شهيد". حدَّث عنه داود بن يحيى وغيره.
