    ١٤٠٧ - ز - البَرَاء بن عثمان الأنصاريُّ، عن هانئ بن معاوية، وعنهالحارثُ بن يزيد. ذكره الحُسَيني في "رجال المسند" وقال: ليس بالمشهور. قلت: بل معروف النَّسَب والدار، وأبوه عثمان بن حُنَيف بن واهب بن عُكَيْم، بمهملة وكاف مصغَّر، صحابي مشهور، وذكره ابن يونس في "تاريخ مصر". وقال: روى عنه الحارث بن يزيد الحضرمي ودارُه بمصر عند عَقَبة بن فُلَيح معروفة. وساق له الحديث الذي أخرجه أحمد من حديث عُثمان بن حُنَيف، سمعه منه هانئ في زمن عثمان بن عفان [فكأن البراء لم يدرك السَّماع من أبيه] (¬١).
