    ١٢٤٢ - ز- إسماعيل بن محمد بن أحمد الوَثَّابي، أبو طاهر، من أهل أصبهان. قال ابن السَّمعاني في "الذيل": سَمعَ أبا عَمْرو بنَ مَنْدَهْ، ومحمد بن إسماعيل التَّفْلِيسي، وغيرهما، وكانت له معرفة بالأدب، ما رأيت بأصبهان في ذلك مثلَه، وأُضِرَّ في آخر عمره، وافتَقَر، وظهر فيه الخَلَلُ، حتى كاد يختلط، وسمعتُ الناس يقولون: إنه يخلّ بالصلوات الفَرْض، ومات في سنة ٥٣٣.
