٨٣١ - ز ذ - أحمد بن محمد بن إبراهيم بن علي، أبو طاهر الخُوَارَزْمي، تَكلَّم فيه ابنُ النجار. قلتُ: روى عن إسماعيل بن الحسن الصَّرْصَري. روى عنه القاضي أبو بكر بن عبد الباقي، وأبو محمد بن الأَنْماطي، وأبو القاسم بن السَّمرقندي وآخرون. وكان مولده سنة ٣٩٥. قال ابن السمعاني: سألتُ عنه ابن الأنماطي فقال: ما كان يَفْهَم شيئًا، ولكنه كان مَطْبُوعًا لَسِنًا. قال أبو سَعْد: وكان يترسَّل من الديوان إلى غَزْنَة، وكان صحيحَ السماع، ومات سنة ٤٧٤.
