    حجاج بن يوسف الهواري، أبو يوسف:فقيه، من القضاة، كان من أهل العلم والأدب، فصيحا مفوها، بليغا مدركا. وهو من ناحية بجاية، وولي القضاء بمراكش "قال ابن الأبار: "ونال دنيا عريضة، وأورث عقبه نباهة، دخل الاندلس مرارا، وروى عن بعض علمائها، توفي مكفوف البصر في الطاعون بمراكش أول سنة ٥٧٣هـ وصلى عليه السلطان وحضر دفنه.
