    ٦٢٨٥- عمرو بن عتبة بن نوفل القرشي «١» : ابن أخت سعد بن أبي وقاص. روى ابن مندة، من طريق خلف بن أبي بكر بن عمرو بن نوفل الزهري، عن أبيه: حدثتني عاتكة بنت أبي وقاص أخت سعد، قالت: جئت رسول اللَّه ﵌ لما دخل مكة في ثمان نسوة ومعي ابناي، فقلت: هذان ابنا عمك، وابنا خالتك، فأخذ أحدهما- عمرو بن عتبة بن نوفل- وكان أصغرهما فوضعه في حجره ... الحديث.
