عمر بن فرج الرخجي الكاتب. كان من علية الكتاب، يصلح للوزارة. سخط عليه المتوكل، فأخذ منه ما قيمته مائة وعشرون ألف دينار. ثم صالحه على أن يرد إليه ضياعه على مال. ثم غضب عليه وصفع ستة آلاف صفعة في أيام، وألبس عباءة. ثم رضي عنه، ثم سخط عليه ونفاه. توفي ببغداد.٣٠٠ -
