    ٥٤٧٠- عثمان بن معاذ بن عثمان التيمي «٤» : قال ابن عبد البرّ: روى حديثه ابن عيينة عن حميد بن قيس، عن محمد بن إبراهيم، عن رجل من قومه يقال له عثمان بن معاذ، أو معاذ بن عثمان، أنه سمع رسول اللَّه ﷺ يقول: «ارموا الجمار بمثل حصى الحذف» . قلت: قد رواه عبد الوارث، عن حميد بن قيس، عن محمد بن إبراهيم، عن عبد الرحمن بن معاذ، أخرجه أبو داود والنسائي، وهو المحفوظ، ورواه معمر عن حميد بن قيس، عن محمد بن إبراهيم، عن عبد الرحمن بن معاذ، عن رجل، أنه سمع، فإن كان ابن عيينة حفظه فلعل عبد الرحمن سمعه من أخيه عثمان.
