النابلسي البرقاوي مولداً الدمشقي إقامة قدم دمشق سنة تسعين ومائة وألف وبها استقام، أخذ عن علمائها السادة الأعلام، منهم الشهاب أحمد العطار، والشيخ محمد الكزبري، والشيخ مصطفى السيوطي، وتولى قضاء الحنابلة مدة ثلاثين سنة، مات ﵀ نهار الجمعة الساد عشر من ذي القعدة الحرام سنة خمسين ومائتين وألف ودفن في مقبرة باب الصغير.
