السيد عبد المحسن بن حمزة بن السيد علي الدمشقي الحنفي الشهير بابن عجلان الشريف الحسني نقيب الأشراف بدمشق الشام. ونخبة أعيانها وأشرافها الكرام، المتحلي بحلى الأدب والكمال، والمستوي على عرش اللطافة والجمال، أحد فضلاء الأفاضل المعروفين، وأوحد السادات الأوائل المشهورين، المشار إليهم بعلو الذكر، وسمو القدر، فلا ريب أنه ممن علا قدره وفاق، وعم ذكر النواحي والآفاق. ولما توفي والده السيد حمزة ولي نقابة الأشراف مكانه ومشى على نسق والده من التقوى والديانة والصيانة.
