عبد الرحمن بن علي بن عبد الرحمن بن علي أفندي العمادي الدمشقي الحنفي كان عالماً عملاً كاملاً فاضلاً، ذا شهرة حسنة وسيرة مستحسنة، ولد بدمشق الشام ونشأ بها في حجر والده، وكان ذا فطنة ونباهة وحذق ووجاهة، كثير التودد لأحبابه شفوقاً على أرحامه وأقاربه، متديناً ورعاً تقياً. مات سنة ثلاث وعشرين ومائتين وألف.
