الشيخ طه بن محمد بن طه بن أحمد العقاد الحلبي الشافعي مفتي الشافعية بحلب العالم الفاضل. والهمام الجهبذ الكامل. والتقي الصالح. والنقي الراجح. مولده سنة تسع وخمسين ومائة وألف، واشتغل بالأخذ والتحصيل في كنف والده وانتفع به وقرأ عليه الكثير من الكتب والفنون، ولازم الشيوخ وسمع عليهم وأكثر من التلقي، وله عدة مشايخ سادة أفاضل منهم أبو سليمان صالح بن إبراهيم الجينيني الدمشقي، وأبو يحيى علاء الدين بن علي بن صادق الدغستاني. ولم يزل يترقى في الأخذ والعلوم والمعارف، إلى أن خطبته المنية بعد الألف والمائتين وخمسة.
