الشيخ حسين المعروف بالرسامة الحنفي الدمشقي العالم الإمام، والحبر الهمام، أحد العلماء الأعلام، ولد بدمشق ونشأ بها على العلم والعمل، مع التقوى والعبادة والتواضع والخشوع والوجل، وكان مستقيم الأوطار، جميل الأطوار، عاملاً بالسنة، ذا نفس مطمئنة، مات بدمشق سنة أربعين ومائتين وألف ودفن بباب الصغير. وكان إمام أهل الفرائض.
