الشيخ أحمد بن يحيى بن عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن زين الدين ابن عبد الكريم الدمشقي الشافعي الشهير بالكزبري، الإمام الشهير، والهمام النحرير، ولد سنة ألف ومائة وثمانٍ وتسعين، ونشأ بها يتيماً، وكفله عمه شقيق والده العلامة الشيخ محمد الكزبري، وأخذ عنه وعن الشهاب أحمد العطار، مات سنة ثمان وأربعين ومائتين وألف ودفن في مرج الدحداح.
