ثم وجهت البقعة للمحاسني ومرض الاسطواني من يومه وبعد أسبوعين توفي قبل الظهر من يوم الأربعاء سادس وعشرين المحرم عام اثنين وسبعين وألف ودفن بمقبرة باب الفراديس، قال المحبي: ولم تطل مدة المحاسني أي لأنه درس شهراً واحداً ثم مات في غرة شعبان عشية الأربعاء عام اثنين وسبعين وألف ودفن بمقبرة باب الفراديس بالقرب من جده الأمير الحسن البوريني.
