أبو القاسم عبد الرحمن بن محرز قيرواني. تفقه بشيوخ القيروان، أبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن. وسمع من ابن عمران، وأبي حفص العطار، يتولى الطلبة: نبيلًا، ذا رأي حسن، ومروءة تامة. وابتلى آخر عمره، فيما بلغني، بالجذام. وله تصانيف حسنة. منها تعليق على المدونة، سماه: التبصرة، وكتابه الكبير المسمى بالقصد والإيجاز. توفي نحو الخمسين وأربعماية.
