إدريس بن عبيد الله بن ادريس بن عبيد الله، بن يحيى بن عبد الله ابن خالد بن عبد الله بن الحسين بن جعد بن أسلم مولى عثمان بن عفان ﵁ قرطبي. كنيته: أبو يحيى. سمع أباه، وغيره. وكان حافظًا فقيهًا مشاورًا، ولي أحكام الشرطة. وكان زاهدًا، ورعًا متقشفًا، متواضعًا، لم تغيره الدنيا. توفي آخر سنة ثلاث وسبعين وثلاثماية.
