الحارث بن سهل، الوقاعي الغافقي. شذوني. يكنى أبا موسى. وجده الحارث بن سهل. هو الداخل الى الأندلس، وأبوه أبو ثابت عتاب من أهل العلم. سمع بقرطبة من ابن وضاح، وابن مطروح، ومالك القطني. وعمّر الى أن أتت عليه ست وتسعون سنة. وكانت وفاته سبع أو ثمان وتسعين ومائتين. روى هارونعن أبيه، وابن وضاح، وكان ختنه، وعني بمذهب مالك، وحفظ كتاب المدونة حفظًا بارعًا. وكان فقيه قلسانه، في وقته. وتوفي بها سنة خمس وثلاثين وثلاثمائة. وسيأتي ذكر ابنه، إن شاء الله تعالى.
