عريف مولى ليث بن فضل لورفي. أبو المطرف. سمع من فضل، وتفقه عنده. وفي البيرة من ابن فطيس كثيرًا. وكان حافظًا للفقه، بصيرًا في الفتيا، جامعًا للعلم، بلغ مبلغ الشورى في موضعه، وعليه كان معولهم في وقته.وعاجلته منيته قبل اكتهاله، بصاعقة قتلته، سنة ثمان وعشرين. وكان طويل اللحية.
