أحمد بن يحيى بن زكريا رحمه الله تعالى يعرف بابن الشامة. أبو عمر. من بيت نبيه بقرطبة. سمع ابن وضاح، صغيرًا، ولم يحدّث عنه. وسمع من عبيد الله، وأبي صالح، وابن لبابة، والأعناقي، وأحمد بن خالد، وأبيه، وغيرهم. وكان حافظًا زاهدًا منقطعًا ناسكًا، متتبلًا. وحدّث. وله حظ من الفقه. توفي رحمه الله تعالى، نصف شعبان، سنة ثلاث وأربعين، وابنه، عبد الله، حدث. ولم يكن عنده علم.
