    سحنون بن أحمد التنوخي. تقدم ذكر أبيه. من أهل قسطلية، وعلمائها. سمع من أبيه، وحدث عنه أبو محمد بن أبي زيد، رحمه الله تعالى، وأبو محمد بن هاشم وجماعة. وكان أبو الفضل الممسي يقول: إنما في نواحي إفريقية، أربعة رجال، أحدهم سحنون هذا، بقسطلية. وذكر من فضله وورعه. قال أبو بكر المالكي: كان شيخًا صالحًا، فاضلًا، فقيهًا، ورعًا، مشهورًا. وكان صعبًا في الإجازة. توفي سنة ثلاث وأربعين وثلاثمائة.
