    عبد الله بن إسحاق البرقي أبو محمد. قال ابن حارث: كان من أهل الفقه والأدب. له مناظرة حسنة، وحفظ جيد. من أصحاب أحمد بن محمد بن نصر. غلب عليه آخرًا، الورع والزهد. ومات مرابطًا بسوسة من رعدة قاصفة سمعها. وقد أغفى فزهقت لها نفسه. وكان اشرب قلبه الخوف، للبكاء. ولسانه لتعظيم الله وتحميده، والصلاة على نبيه ﷺ. وبدني للتراب والبلاء، وقلبي للخوف والرجاء. ولم أخلق للّعب والهوى. وإنما خلقت للعمل الصالح. وكان يختم القرآن في كل يوم ختمة. وينظر، ويعتبر بالجنة في منامه. وتوفي سنة سبع عشرة وثلاثمائة. فيما حكاه المالكي. سنة عشر ولم يدرك أعمار طبقته. رحمه الله تعالى.
