    محمد بن عمر الحلاج أبو عبد الله. قال الخراط: كان رجلًا صالحًا، ثقة حسنًا، فقيهًا، حسن الاتباع لأهل المدينة ولإمامهم مالك. سمع ابن سبيل، وموسى القطان، وسعيدًا بن حكمون، وأبا الغصن، وابن بسطام، وغيرهم. وكان لا يحدث إلا بما سمع. وعين الإجازة من سماعه، ولم يكن يحسن تقييد الكتب. توفي سنة خمس وثلاثين وثلاثمائة، رحمه الله تعالى.
