محمد بن الحارث بن أبي سعيد قرطبي. يكنى أبا عبد الله. تقدم ذكر أبيه. روى عنه كثيرًا، وعن يحيى بن يحيى، وابن حبيب. وحج فسمع بمصر وبمكة من غير واحد. ولي لعبد الرحمن بن الحكم، أحكام الشرطة الصغرى، التي كانت بيد أبيه، وأقره الأمير محمد عليها، مع حكم السوق، الى أن مات. وكان مشاورًا في أيامه بقرطبة، مع أصبغ بن خليل، وابن مزين، وعظمهم. وكان أحد الثلاثة الذين طلبوا بقي بن مخلد. إلا أنه كان أجلهم في قصته. قال ابن عبد البر: وكان قليل الفقه. توفي سنة ستين ومائتين.
