أبو القاسم عبد الرحمان بن محمد اللواتي المعروف بالخرقي -بكسر الخاء المعجمة، من شيوخ هذه الطبقة وفقهائها ومحدثيها، وأسند من كان معه في وقته، سمعالقابسي، وأبا ذر الهروي؛ وكان ممن يجتمع اليه بالقيروان، ويتناظر عنده مع المشيخه؛ سمع من ابن أبي الفرج الزنجي، وأبي القاسم السرقوسي الصقلي، وأبي حفص بن الصقلي، وأبي علي الحسن بن مكي المعروف بحسان المهدوي، وغير واحد؛ وآخر من حدث عنه من القرويين النازلين بالاندلس، أبو محمد بن الخياط.
