محمد بن علي بن محمد [¬٢] بن شبل (¬١) ويقال: الشبل بن بكير القسي، تطيلي، من فقهائها، وبيوتها المشهورة في العلم والجلالة؛ ولي أحكام بلده، حدث عن عيسى بن موسى بن الإمام؛ روي عنه أبو الأصبغ بن أبي درهم، وحده محمد بن شبل، يكنى بأبي بكر، سمع من المغامي وغيره؛ ورحل فسمع من يحيى بن عمر. ويحيى بن عون، وعمر بن يوسف، وأبي مضر دوام بن مالك البغدادي ويعيش الغرابلي، وزيدان بن إسماعيل؛ وولي الصلاة ببلده، وكان يرحل إليه من مدن الثغر للسماع منه، وطال عمره. مات سنة ثلاث وخمسين (¬٢)، حدث عنه محمد القلعي، وعيسى بن موسى الإمام.
