أحمد بن إبراهيم بن عبد الرحمان الكلاعي المعلم (¬٢) من أهل قرطبة، يعرف بابن الضحى، يكنى أبا عمر؛ وكان فقيها عالما بالمسائل، عاقدا للشروط؛ سمع من أبي عيسى، ومسلمة بن محمد، وشكور الطليطلي، وغيرهم؛ وكان يجتمع إليه في التفقه، ويقرأ عليه كان على وسنة، وقوام طريقة. توفي فجأة في جمادى الآخرة سنة إحدى وتسعين وثلاثمائة وكان الثناء عليه حسنا.
