أبو اسحاق إبراهيم بن عبد الله الزبيدي -المعروف بالقلاني (¬٢٩٥) كان رجلا فاضلا فقيها، عالما بالكلام والرد على المخالفين، له في ذلك تواليف حسنة، وله كتاب في الامامة والرد على الرافضة، سمع من فرات بن محمد، وحماس بن مروان، والمغامى، ومحمد بن عبادة والسوسى [¬١] وخلق كثير. وروى عنه ابراهيم بن سعيد [¬٢] وأبو جعفر الداودي [¬٣] وغيره [¬٤]، وامتحن على يدي أبيالقاسم بن عبيد الله الرافضي، ضربه سبعمائة سوط، وحبسه في دار البحر أربعة أشهر بسبب تأليفه كتاب الامامة. وقيل: بسبب كتاب الامامة الذي ألفه ابن سحنون. توفي ﵀ سنة تسع وخمسين وقيل سنة احدى [¬١] وستين وثلاثمائة.
