هارون بن عتاب بن بشير [¬١] بن عبد الرحيم بن الحارث بن سهل الرفاعي [¬٢] الغافقي شذوني، يكنى أبا [¬٣] موسى. وجده: الحارث بن سهل، هو الداخل إلى الأندلس، وأبوه أبو ثابت عتاب من أهل العلم، سمع بقرطبة من ابن وضاح، وابن مطروح، ومالك القطني [¬٤]. وعمر إلى أن أتت عليه ست وتسعون سنة، وكانت وفاته سنة سبع أو ثمان وتسعين ومائتين روى هارون عن أبيه، وابن وضاح - وكان ختنه، وعني بمذهب مالك، وحفظ كتاب [¬٥] المدونة حفظا بارعا، وكان فقيه قلسانة في وقته، وتوفي بها سنة خمس وثلاثين وثلاثمائة وسيأتي ذكر ابنه - إن شاء الله تعالى.
