سليمان بن عبد الله بن المبارك [¬٢] أبو أيوب المعروف بأبي المشترى (¬١٤٤) - بفتح الراء، وجده المبارك مولى محمد الامير، قرطبي، نبيه [¬٣]. سمع من ابن وضاح كثيرا، ومن أبي صالح، وعبيد الله. وهو الذي بوب الكتب المختلطة الباقية على سحنون من المدونة. وكان عالما، عابدا، مجتهدا، فقيها، حافظا، مشاورا في الأحكام. سمع منه الناس كثيرا، روى عنه ابن مفرج، وابن برطال، وغيرهما. واختلف في وفاته ما بين خمس وثلاثين - إلى ثمان وثلاثين - والله أعلم.
