عبد الله بن محمد بن إبراهيم الثقفي (¬٥٧٩) ابن عاصم بن مسلم بن كعب الثقفي، قرطبي، من بيت شهير بها، تقدم ذكر سلفه. رحل فسمع من أبي الطاهر، وكان حافظا للمسائل، متقدما فيها قال ابن حارث: كان مع بصره بالفقه، بصيرا باللغة والشعر، متفننا في العلوم، حدث عنه ابن أيمن، وتوفى بعد الثلاثمائة.قال أبو سعيد: وكان ابن لبابة يصفه بالحفظ الكثير، إلا أنه كان إذا قلبت عليه المسألة لم يدرها. قال أحمد بن سعيد بن حزم: كان من أهل الورع والعبادة والتقشف، يخوض المطر في الشتاء حافيا، وربما يسير إلى باذيته راجلا، ونفقته في طرفه على عنقه، ولو شاء ركب الدواب لسعة حاله. ***
