    أبو يعلى أخوه واسمه الحسين بن يوسف بن يعقوب. وبنوه من آل حماد، هم المعروفون ببنى أبي يعلى.ذكره صاحب الأوراق الحكمية في الفقهاء من أصحاب إسماعيل. وقال ابن حارث مثله. وتوفى سنة ست وثلاثمائة. ولهما أخ ثالث اسمه أحمد بن يوسف، وأراه أكبرهم، يكنى بأبى عبد الله، ذكره ابن حارث فيمن صحب إسماعيل وتفقه به من آله. وتوفى أولهم، سنة تسع وتسعين ومائتين. "وابنه عبد الله (¬٣٢) بن أحمد بن يوسف: يكنى بأبى أحمد، تفقه أيضا بإسماعيل، وتوفى سنة إحدى وثلاثمائة، وولد سنة ثلاث وستين ومائتين. قال في الأوراق: كان ذكيا وأعجلته المنية. قال ابن حارث: وكان رئيسا" (¬٣٣). ***
