يزيد بن طلحة العبسي إشبيلي، أبو خالد، سمع من العتبي، وابن مزين والخشني، ومحمد بن عبد الله الغازي. قال ابن الفرضى: كان من جلة فقهاء أشبيلية، بصيرا باللغة والنحو والشعر، مشهورا بالبلاغة والحكاية، سمعت الباجى يثنى عليه، ويصفه بالعلم وجلالة القدر.
