صباح بن عبد الرحمان بن الفضل بن عميرة العتقي تدميرى، يكنى أبا الفضل، تقدم ذكر أبيه وجده في الطبقة الأولى. روى عن يحيى بن يحيى، وزونان، وابن حبيب وغيرهم.وحج مع أبيه، فلقي بالقيروان سحنون، ولقى يحيى بن بكير، وأبا مصعب الزهري، وأصبغ بن الفرج، وأقام عنده زمانا، وكان يرحل إليه ببلده للسماع منه والتفقه. سمع منه حفص بن محمد بن حفص، وغيره. وعمر طويلا، توفي وهو ابن مائة سنة وثمانية عشرة عاما، وتوفي لعشر مضين من محرم، أربع وتسعين ومائتين، ذكر هذا ابن الفرضي. وقال ابن أبي دليم: توفي فجأة، وسنه سبع وتسعون سنة.
