    وعبد الرحمان بن عيسى أخوهما. قال ابن عبد البر: سمع بالأندلس من مشايخ أبيه وغيرهم ورحل فسمع من سحنون، وأصبغ ومحمد بن عبد الرحمان البرقى ونظرائهم، وكان حافظا للرأي، معتنيا بالمسائل. روى عنه ابن لبابة وغيره. قال ابن أبي دليم: ولقى محمد بن عبد الحكم. قال قاسم بن محمد: سئل ابن عبد الحكم عن مسألة، فسكت ساعة، فقال له عبد الرحمان بن عيسى: ابن القاسم يقول فيها كذا وكذا. فقال له ابن عبد الحكم: لو كان الأمر على ما تقول كان مستهلا (¬٣١٢) إنما يجب علينا أن نتعرف الحق.قال الرازي: وحج حجات، وشوور. قال خالد بن سعيد: كان من أهل العناية بالعلم والحفظ والرأى والمسائل. توفى سنة سبعين ومائتين.
