١١٧ - (د س ق) خالد بن عبد الله بن حسين الأمويُّ مولى عثمان بن عفان. الشاميُّ، وقد ينسب إلى جده. صحح الحاكم حديثه في «مستدركه» (¬٤). وذكره ابن خلفون في جملة الثقات. وفي قول المزي: قال البخاري: سمع أبا هريرة. نظر؛ لأن البخاريَّ لم يقله إلا حكاية، وهو قوله في «التاريخ» (¬٥): حدثني الهيثم بن خارجة، حدثنا عثمان بن عبد الرحمن، عن زيد بن واقد، قال: حدثني خالد بن حسين مولى عثمان، سمع أبا هريرة قال: أتيت النبيَّ ﷺ .. الحديث. وقال أبو داود (¬٦) -فيما ذكره الآجريُّ-: كان أعقل أهل زمانه.
