٧٩ - (د) خارجة بن الحارث بن مكيث الجهنيُّ المدنيُّ روى عن أبيه وسالم بن سرج روى عنه إسماعيل بن أبي أويس وابن مهدي كذا ذكره المزِّيُّ. وفي كتاب الصريفيني فرَّق بين المدني الراوي عن سالم والراوي عنه ابن مهدي، وبين الجهني الراوي عن أبيه والراوي عنه ابن أبي أويس. وقال ابن حبان في كتاب «الثقات» (¬١): خارجة بن الحارث بن رافع بن مكيث الجهني روى عن أبيه، روى عنه إسماعيل بن أبي أويس، وخرج حديثه في «صحيحه» (¬٢). وفي كتاب الدارمي: قلت ليحيى: فخارجة بن الحارث الجهني. فقال: ثقة. وذكر ابن خلفون في جملة الثقات.
