١٢٩٤ - يوسف بن محمد بن عثمان بن يوسف بن ابراهيم السرخسى ثم الدمشقى شرف (¬١) الدين ولد سنة ٦٣٩ (¬٢) وكان ينادى على الكتب بدمشق وينسخ الدواوين اللطاف كشعرا بن المشد والشواء وكان يقول قبلت مرة قبلة بالف درهم يفتخر بذلك لجهله وقد سمع من ابي اسحاق بن مضر صحيح مسلم والموطأ لابي مصعب واجاز له عثمان بن علي بن عبد الواحد خطيب القرافة وعبد الحميد بن عبد الهادى وغيرهما واخذ عنه البرزالى والذهبي وابن رافع ومات فى رابع شهر رجب سنة ٧٢١ *
