    ١٢٥٦ - محمد بن عبد اللّه بن الحاج المالقى كان شاعرا يستجدى بشعره مدح ملوك الاندلس ومن النوادر التى اتفقت له انه رثى ابن الاحمر لما مات واستقر ابنه فى المملكة فانشده قصيدة اولها * على من تنشر اليوم البنود … وتحت لواء من تمشى الجنود فبادر الملك فقال على رأس الذى بين يديك فخجل الشاعر وانقطع واستظرف الناس هذا الجواب قاله ابن الخطيب وقيد وفاته بعد الاربعين وسبعمائة *
