    ١٠٤٦ - محمد بن ايوب بن علي بن حازم الدمشقي الشافعى نقيب السبع المعروف بابن الطحان ولد فى ربيع الاول سنة ٦٥٢ وسمع من عثمان خطيب القرافة جزءا ومن الزين خالد ويوسف الاربلى وغيرهم وكان فاضلا حسن الخلق لكن فيه وسوسة فى المياه وكان تفقه وقرأ بالروايات ثم عجز وانقطع بالشامية وذكره الذهبى فى سير النبلاء ومات فى رجب سنة ٧٣٥ (¬٢) ورأيت فى مشيخة ابى جعفر ابن الكويك انه مات سنة ٧٣٧ *
