    ٨٩٠ - محمد بن احمد بن عبد الوهاب بن خلف بن بدر العلائى شهاب الدين ابن علاء الدين الشهير بابن بنت الاعز ولد سنة … (¬١) وثمانين وستمائة واسمع على الفخر ابن البخارى وابن الزين والابرقوهى وغيرهم واجاز له القطب القسطلانى والعز الحرانى وابن الانماطى وشامية بنت البكرى وطائفة وحدث بالبردة بسماعه من البوصيرى ناظمها سمع منه شيخنا العراقى والقاضى صدر الدين المناوى وآخرون وكان حسن الشكل والملبس ظاهر الحشمة يعد من اعيان البلد ولى نظر بيت المال والاحباس وغيرهما ومات فى ثامن عشر شهر ربيع الاول (¬٢) سنة ٧٦٢ وهو بقية البيت المشهور وذكر ابن رافع انه ام بالصالحية وولى الحسبة بمصر *
