    ١٨٥ - علي بن علي بن اسمح اليعقوبى الشافعى ابو الحسن النحوى المعروف بالشيخ علي ببلاده اخذته التتار من يعقوب (¬١) سنة ٦٥٦ حين دخلوا بغداد وكان صغيرا نحو العشر فاقام عند انسان فقيه ببلغار يقال له الشيخ صالح الهسكورى فحفظ المصابيح والمفصل والمفتاح (¬٢) وتميز ثم سكن الروم وولي مشيخة الحديث بها ثم تزهد ولبس دلفا ولف راسه بمئزر صغير وقصد دمشق من سنة بضع وثمانين فاقتات من النسخ وتصدى للافادة وكان ممن يحط على ابن تيمية وكان دينا خيرا وخرج قاصدا للحج فمات باللجون في شوال سنة ٧١٠ وله نيف وستون سنة *
