    ١٣٥ - علي بن عبد الرحمن بن الحسين العثماني علاء الدين الصفدى اشتغل وتمهر ودرس وافتى وخطب وقام بامر الفتوى بعد موت ابن الرسام وناب فى الحكم كل ذلك بصفد وصنف مختصرا فى الفقه سماه النافعمات بعد رجوعه من الحج سنة ٧٤٩ (¬١) ذكره اخوه قاضى صفد وقال انه رآه فى المنام فسأله عن حاله فقال دخلت الجنة فقلت بالتقوى قال بل بفضل اللّه قلت فما كان من امر الفقه قال ما نفعنى الا القرآن *
